Air fried biscuits cook in less than half the time it takes in the oven.

I’ve tried just about every brand of canned biscuit on the market, but I always come back to what my Mom preferred—Pillsbury Grands biscuits.

Because my guys like to supersize just about everything, I bake lots of Pillsbury Grands biscuits in an air fryer.

Air Fryer Biscuits recipe ingredients

  • Refrigerated jumbo biscuits: I prefer Pillsbury brand, but use your favorite.
  • Nonstick baking spray or a bit of vegetable oil: The spray is faster, but if preferred, brush the sides and bottom of the air fryer with a bit of vegetable or canola oil instead so they don’t stick.
  • Butter, honey, jelly, or jam: Whatever your heart desires! There’s no wrong way to dress up a biscuit.

How to cook Grands biscuits in the air fryer

These biscuits cook very quickly in an air fryer, there’s no need to preheat the air fryer.

Spray the bottom and sides of the air fryer basket with a little cooking spray or brush with vegetable oil.

Place the biscuits in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Leave just a tiny bit of space between each one and the sides of the air fryer basket so the hot air can circulate evenly.

Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may not be able to bake all 8 biscuits at one time.

Cooking them in batches is fine.

Using a silicone pastry brush, brush the tops of the biscuits with a bit of oil.

This will help them brown more beautifully.

Cook the biscuits at 325° for 5 minutes.

Then turn the biscuits over and cook another 2-3 minutes, just until the biscuits are golden brown.

Turn the air fryer off and allow the biscuits to rest inside for 2 minutes longer to fully bake to the center of each biscuit.

Air fryers’ cooking methods can vary based on their size and brand, just as cooking times may vary.

Once you’ve baked a couple of batches, you’ll know how much time works best for your particular air fryer.

Turn the biscuits over so the smooth, pretty side is up.

Serve immediately while warm with butter, honey, or your favorite jam.

How long to cook biscuits in air fryer?

It will be right around 8-10 minutes, which is about half the time it takes in the oven.

Biscuit baking time in an air fryer can vary depending on how big or small your air fryer is and how big or small your biscuits are.

The key to cooking biscuits in an air fryer is to make sure they bake slowly so they can get fully cooked at the center without overcooking on the exterior.

Just like with your oven, you may need to adjust the baking time up or down (as well as the air fryer temperature) until you find what works best.

Can you cook biscuits in the air fryer?

Yep and it works great.

You may need to cook the biscuits in batches so that you don’t overcrowd the air fryer.

This will depend on how large your air fryer basket is.

How do you keep biscuits from sticking

It’s important to brush the air fryer with a bit of vegetable oil or spray with nonstick spray so that foods don’t stick.

How long to reheat biscuits

Reheating fully cooked biscuits in the air fryer will typically take just 1-2 minutes until heated through at 300-325 degrees F.

They will be nice and crispy on the outside once again.

What temperature should biscuits be cooked at?

Because air fryers cook foods quickly, I prefer to bake air fryer biscuits at 325 degrees F. instead of 350 degrees F. like you typically would in the oven.

Baking them in the air fryer at the usual 350 degrees F. usually results in overcooked biscuits on the exterior while still doughy at the center.

Should you use parchment paper?

I don’t use parchment paper in the air fryer because it can hinder proper air flow.

If you feel you need to use parchment, be sure you poke holes in it to allow the hot air to circulate better.

How to store leftover biscuits

Store the leftover biscuits in an air-tight container or even just a gallon bag.

They will keep for 2-3 days at room temperature.
