Why This Recipe Works
An easy burrata salad with peaches and arugula absolutely screams summer! Sometimes you come across an unforgettable dish. You enjoy it so much, you want to roll around in it! That’s how I feel about this salad.
Each ingredient is distinct in the flavor it brings, and they are all quite separate and unique from one another.
Another plus? This salad is ridiculously easy to throw together! The balsamic glaze comes straight from the bottle so that you can save a lot of time!
Ingredients and Substitutions

For a complete list of ingredients, please see the recipe card at the bottom of this post.
- Fresh arugula: Here’s where you’re going to get a lovely flavor of pepper and a bit of sharpness, maybe even some bitter notes. I love how well arugula keeps in the refrigerator because it’s such a hearty green. You can also substitute spinach if you don’t have fresh arugula around.
- Fresh peaches: If fresh peaches aren’t in season, you can substitute frozen sliced peaches in this recipe. Fresh peaches will always take this dish to the next level, enhancing the flavors and textures.
- Grape tomato halves: These are best if the whole grape tomatoes are sliced in half lengthwise.
- Burrata cheese: Use as much or as little as preferred in this salad, truly. Burrata cheese is very mild in flavor and has a creamy center. It’s especially delicious when drizzled with the balsamic glaze. I get my burrata cheese at Aldi. If you can’t find burrata cheese, feel free to substitute fresh mozzarella pearls in its place.
- Balsamic glaze: I use Bertolli balsamic glaze, which I find has the perfect balance of tangy and sweet flavors. Keep in mind that balsamic glaze is not the same as balsamic vinegar, although it shares the same flavor components. Balsamic glaze is much thicker in texture than vinegar.

My Recipe Tips
- If I’m serving this salad to my own family, I prepare it in a serving bowl and I serve right from the bowl. However, if you are making this for special dinner party guests, the salads will look much more beautiful if you prepare each one individually, using the same assembly steps in the recipe, just on a smaller scale.
- A good-quality balsamic glaze is a wonderful thing to keep in your pantry at all times and it perfect to drizzle over your favorite salads.
Peach Burrata Salad FAQs
Burrata cheese is simply fresh mozzarella cheese that has been stuffed with cream and curds at the center. It is mild and creamy, complementing flavors that are bold and tart.
When purchasing burrata cheese, you will typically find it in the gourmet cheese section of your grocery store, close to where they keep the fresh mozzarella.
Just like fresh mozzarella, burrata cheese comes packed in a brine solution. Before using, drain the brine from the burrata and then pat dry with paper towels before shredding with your fingers.
This is one of those salads that doesn’t store well unless you keep all the components separate and just make individual salads as desired. Once everything is combined in the serving bowl, serve the salad immediately and eat every bit, as it won’t hold well.
If you keep the components ready in separate containers, you can assemble salads quickly, and the ingredients will stay safe in air-tight containers for up to 3 days.
The sliced peaches may turn a bit dark due to oxidation, but they are perfectly safe to eat.
The burrata is best stored in the brine that it comes packaged in.
