These Kings Hawaiian Ham and Cheese Sliders have sliced ham and smoked Gouda cheese nestled into soft slider buns, then drizzled with a warm butter mixture and sprinkled with a poppy seed topping.
112 count package slider rolls or buns (or Hawaiian rolls)
¾lb.hamthinly sliced
¾lb.gouda cheesesliced or shredded
1/2cupbuttermelted
1Tbs.Worcestershire Sauce
1Tbs.spicy brown mustardmay substitute Dijon
1Tbs.brown sugar
Poppy seedsfor garnishing/sprinkling
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9X13 inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray; reserve.
Open the rolls from their package, slide out the tray, and slice them in half, where you have all their tops in one “sheet”, and all their bottoms in one “sheet”. Place the bottoms in their sheet-like form in the prepared baking pan.
Layer half of the ham on top of the rolls; sprinkle with all of the cheese. Top the cheese with remaining half of ham, then add the sheet of the roll tops.
Meanwhile, melt the butter; whisk in the Worcestershire Sauce, mustard, and brown sugar.
Evenly pour the butter mixture over the tops of the rolls; sprinkle with poppy seeds, as desired.
Cover the pan with foil, and allow to rest for 30 minutes, if time allows.
Bake, covered, for 20 minutes on the center oven rack; remove the foil, and bake for another 5 minutes. Slice into individual sliders, and serve
