1lb.lean ground beef
1tsp. onion powder, optional may substitute granulated onion
1/2tsp.garlic powder, optional may substitute granulated garlic
15oz.can tomato sauce
1.5oz.pkg. spaghetti sauce seasoning
1c.evaporated milk
3oz.cream cheesesoftened
1cupshredded Mozzarella cheese
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.Place the cooked egg noodles into a greased 11x7 baking dish, spreading them out evenly;
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown and crumble the ground beef with the onion and garlic powder, if using, cooking until the ground beef is fully cooked and no pink remains (165 degrees F.); drain any fats that accumulate.
Stir the tomato sauce and spaghetti sauce seasoning mix into the ground beef mixture; simmer over low heat.
Place the cream cheese into a saucepan over medium heat; whisk the evaporated milk into the cream cheese, a little at a time, until the mixture is creamy and smooth.
Pour the warm cream cheese mixture over the top of the noodles. Spread the warm beef and spaghetti sauce mixture over the top of the noodles; sprinkle with cheese.
Cover the casserole with foil; bake for 20-25 minutes, removing the foil during the last 5 minutes of the baking time. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
