Ingredients
1rollcanned biscuits, 8-10 count
1-2 Tbs.vegetable oil
1/2cupgranulated sugar
Instructions
Place the sugar into a bowl; reserve. Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees F. Open the can of biscuits, then separate each one from the others. Using your fingers, flatten each biscuit out, then pull the center from each one to create a hole, turning each biscuit into a donut.
Spray the air fryer rack with nonstick spray then place the donuts onto the rack; brush with oil using a silicone basting brush.
To Air Fry: Air fry the doughnuts at 350 degrees F for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown on top; turn the doughnuts over and brush them with oil again. Continue to air fry the doughnuts 2-3 more minutes or until golden brown on the second side.
To Fry in Oil: In a Dutch oven or a deep skillet over medium-high heat, add about 2-inches of vegetable oil. When the oil is hot, add the biscuits, a couple at a time, cooking until golden brown, approx. 2 minutes on each side.
Place the hot donuts, one at a time, into the sugar in the bowl, flipping them over to make sure that all sides meet up with the sugar and are well-coated. (If the sugar doesn't seem to want to stick really well, brush the warm doughnuts with a bit of oil then into the sugar again.)
Place the sugared doughnuts onto a serving platter and enjoy them at once! For the best experience, the doughnuts should be eaten while hot and fresh only.
