Do you know anyone who loves Chocolate Chip Cookies?? Of course you do, right?! The perfect treat for those cookie lovers out there, this pie is actually an enormous soft and chewy chocolate chip cookie baked in a deep dish pie plate until golden brown.
In a large mixing bowl, whip eggs until foamy, approx. 1 minute, using an electric mixer; beat in flour, salt, and sugars; beat in butter.
Using a spatula, fold in morsels and pecans; spoon the prepared filling evenly into a pie crust that has been placed into a deep dish pie plate. Using your fingers, create a pretty decorative edge around the top of the pie crust.
Bake on the center rack of the preheated oven, uncovered, for 30 minutes, then reduce heat to 300 degrees F.; bake cookie pie an additional 20-25 minutes.
After removing from the cookie pie from the oven, use additional chocolate chips to decorate the top, as desired (see photo).
Cool cookie pie in the pie plate set on a wire cooling rack. Let pie cool completely, before slicing into wedges to serve. Delicious topped with ice cream!
