I have many fond memories of eating at the La Siesta restaurant as I was growing up. My Mom loved to go there, so we went often, always enjoying their unique Queso Dip with chips. La Siesta is no longer in business, but their famous Casa Del Sabor Seasoning Sauce is now available for purchase, so you can make the La Siesta Queso right at home. #LaSiesta #Topeka #Queso #MexicanFavs #CasaDelSabor
Casa Del Sabor Seasoning Sauce is available at several retailers across Kansas, including Alma Creamery! So if you’re ever in Alma, it’s a one-stop shop to get all your ingredients for this world-famous dip.
Best-Ever and World-Famous La Siesta Queso Dip
1 1/3 cups Casa Del Sabor Seasoning Sauce
1 lb. Alma Creamery shredded sharp cheddar (sometimes I substitute Alma Creamery Colby cheese, if I’m out of sharp cheddar)
1 -2 tsp. granulated garlic (depending on how garlicky you like it!)
In a large skillet over medium heat, bring seasoning sauce to a simmer; add cheese and granulated garlic, stirring until cheese is melted and dip is smooth. Serve at once with tortilla chips. (Dip will cool quickly and gets very thick, so don’t prepare it until the very minute you’re ready to eat!)
It might seem simple, but the flavors and creaminess of this hot dip will knock your socks off!
