Macie's Peanut Butter Birthday Cake

Macie is two years old already. We’ve never had an Aussie quite like her – she’s almost TOO smart for her own good, and we thought by now she’d be past chewing everything to pieces….I think she just gets bored! We love you, MacieGurl.

Macie’s Peanut Butter Birthday Cake

1/4 cup honey
1/4 applesauce
1/4 peanut butter
1 egg
1/2 cup oatmeal
3/4 cup flour combined with 3/4 tsp. baking soda
Topping:
Peanut butter, warmed with 2 tsp. oil
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a deep 6-7″ cake pan (mine had a removable bottom) with nonstick spray.
Combine cake ingredients well in a large mixing bowl; pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake cake for 25-28 minutes, or until tester inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove cake from pan and let cool on a cooling rack.
To serve your furry family member, place cake into serving plate (or cake pedestal!); spread warm peanut butter mixture on top of cake. (FYI – We only served our dogs a piece or so at a time, as we weren’t sure how rich this would be for them. 😬😬)
