1/2 cup unsalted butter
10 oz. bag mini marshmallows
Assorted holiday sprinkles, frosting, candles, decorations… ANYTHING!
Place popcorn into a large mixing bowl. Spray an angel food cake pan with nonstick spray.
Meanwhile, in a non-stick skillet over medium heat, melt butter, cooking and stirring for just a few minutes until butter is nicely browned and has a nutty fragrance, watching butter carefully so it doesn’t burn.
Add marshmallows to browned butter, stirring until marshmallows are mostly melted.
Pour butter/marshmallow mixture over popcorn in large bowl and toss to combine well, using two spoonulas or spatulas to mix.
Immediately place popcorn mixture into the prepared cake pan, pressing down well. Let cake cool completely in pan.
Invert pan onto a cake pedestal or serving platter, then decorate as desired. To serve, use an electric knife to cut cake into slices.
