Make Your Own Italian Sausage!

DIY Italian Sausage
It’s almost too easy. Simply mix up all of the ingredients and BAM! You have Italian sausage! I like to make this up in large batches, freezing it in 1-2 lb. packages for later use. (Editor’s Note: I really could have used this recipe when I lived in SE Asia and couldn’t buy Italian Sausage, but had a plethora of PORK! Tucking this away for next time…)

Italian Sausage

1 lb. ground pork
2 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp ground fennel seed
2 tsp. sweet paprika
2 cloves minced garlic
2 tsp. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 Tbs. red wine vinegar
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients together – now you have Italian Sausage! Sausage can be used right away or store in the fridge for 8-10 hours to let flavors heighten.

Now You’re Cookin!
