I’m always needing something in a hurry, and yes, I’d like all things to be homemade in my world, but how REALISTIC is that?? I have no problem confessing that I’ve always got CANNED dough items in my fridge – biscuits, crescent rolls, pizza dough, cinnamon rolls…..you name it, I’ve got it. This recipe calls for a can of pizza dough and it “rolls out” (ha) some darn good bread sticks for my guys.
1 can refrigerated pizza dough
2-3 Tbs. melted butter
Tony Chachere’s creole seasoning
red pepper flakes
grated Parmesan cheese
Place pizza dough onto a greased baking sheet or pizza stone and roll out into the desired shape you prefer, taking care not to roll dough too thin.
Brush dough with melted butter, then sprinkle lightly with creole seasoning and red pepper flakes; top with parmesan cheesse.
Using a pizza cutter, perforate dough (or partially cut) into the size and quantity of bread sticks you desire.
Bake bread sticks on center rack of a preheated 350 degree F. oven for approx. 15-17 minutes, or until golden brown.
Cut perforations all the way through with pizza cutter and serve at once.
